The Teachers:

•  The teachers respect, listen and never “talk down” to the children

•  Children are encouraged to form and voice opinions

•  Silliness is both appreciated and nurtured

•  Every teacher tries to find the good points of each child

•  They make sure our kids are more than prepared for Kindergarten in every way, including academically and socially

•  A lot of loving and nurturing care that have made my son an extremely affectionate (and sociable)
little boy

•  My son is excited to go to school – and on those occasional days when he is sad to see me go, I love the way one of his teachers always scoops him up and makes him happy again

•  The candid photos that the teachers take during the day while I'm at work and wondering what my
son is up to

•  Warm-hearted, practical advice and guidance I get

•  Lots of help with potty training!

Infants and Toddlers:

•  Seeing the toddlers interact with the babies – the toddlers learn how to be gentle, and the babies love the attention

•  Feeling welcome to breast feed my baby at my convenience during the day

•  I looked hard to find a place that had a home-like, family-like atmosphere – a place that tried hard to balance the child's personal growth and development while at the same time allowed kids to be kids

•  Knowing that my son can sleep when he's tired, not just at naptime

•  My son mixes with children of different age groups

Preschool:

•  The small child-to-teacher ratio ensures that my daughter gets plenty of individual attention

•  The day is well balanced between academic (pre-reading/math) activities and playtime

•  Science in integrated into activities in an age-appropriate manner

•  The teachers emphasize “using words” to settle disputes (and my daughter has really learned to
express herself!)

Overall:

•  My daughter is excited about going to New Gulph everyday – she loves her teachers!

•  I always relax when my children are at New Gulph because I know they are happy

•  The summer session at New Gulph is wonderful

•  Our son considers the teachers and other kids part of his family – he really loves them

•  We really benefit from their experience as we learn about being parents.

•  I like the fact that all our children are treated equally – right down to the food they eat

•  The school lunch is incredibly convenient – my child gets well- balanced meals (including fruits and vegetables!) and I don't have to lift a finger to plan or prepare them.

•  I feel my son is safe here

•  I like the fact that the kids get outdoors so much – year ‘round

•  I love how the teachers treat my children like their own – with a combination of love and respect that is reflected back in loving, well-behaved, self-assured children (I often get compliments on my children's development from family and friends, and I credit New Gulph and am thankful to have such a great place for my children to begin to learn about the world)
